About the Designer
Over the past 6 years Nathan Kaw has worked on a wide range of projects. He has studied various fields of design through the University of Technology Sydney and concurrently through internships. The first, at Bespoke Laser, this laser cutting company provided design and production services. Also partaking in developing a new component of the company; Bespoke Trading Co, which offered products with customisation for customers. Subsequently to this Nathan joined SlabsbyDesign a concrete furniture business and has been designing for custom furniture pieces and developing the product range. Post graduation Nathan worked at Big Kahuna Imagineering, fabrications specialists for public art installations, Special FX to Hi-fidelity props, product activations, animatronics and mechanical effects. Following this worked with Skillion Bikes to develop a new prototype of an electric bike. Nathan now runs Woodburn Creatives, a community of makers, artists and designers in Redfern whilst engaging in new work as a freelance designer.
