Woodburn Creatives

Over the last 4 months NatKaw has been establishing a community of artists, musicians, small businesses and designers in a warehouse called Woodburn Creatives. Located in a central part of Redfern, we have 22 studios in the space with over 20 current creative tenants. Each tenant has their own special practice, some focusing on crafts such as pottery and painting, some in the performing arts such as acting and composition, and some conducting their own start-up companies, such as to do with electric bicycles . All of these tenants contribute to a diverse and rich variety of talent pooled into the warehouse’s community, something that we are deeply proud of.

E-Bike Prototype Built

Today I got to test ride the E-bike prototype frame that I had been working on for the last 4 months with Skillion bikes. It was really amazing to be able to put this together and ride it. I am truly happy to have been working on something that I’m passionate about.

Sac Prototype

While staying with Angèle, a fashion designer in Paris, she showed me how to use a sewing machine and we made this prototype hybrid tote/ backpack thing.
